Miss Lori
Director and Lead Teacher – Younger Class
Miss Lori has been working with children for more than 30 years. She began her career with children when she was 13 by operating her own dance studio during the school year and working as a camp counselor during the summers. Before moving to the Boston area she received her B.S. degree in Education with a minor Special Education from the College of St. Rose. She taught in the New York school system and worked as an Art Therapist in the Albany area. After receiving her Master’s Degree in Education from Lesley College, she worked as a Lead Pre-School teacher at Kendall Nursery School in Belmont and BB & N School Summer Program in Cambridge. She came to PNS in the fall of 1981 as a Lead Teacher and assumed the role of Director/Teacher in 1985. Lori is the author of “What To Do With a Squirt of Glue”, an art activity book for young children. Lori enjoys gardening, doing crafts, going to the beach and hanging out with her family, husband Jack and daughter Emma.
Miss Nancy
Lead Teacher – Older Class
Miss Nancy has enjoyed teaching the Older Class at PNS for over 20 years, working with so many wonderful families and preparing her students for kindergarten. She has a Bachelors Degree in Early Childhood Education and has taken Masters courses to become certified as a Reading Specialist. Miss Nancy has also worked in the Cambridge Public Schools teaching Kindergarten, First Grade and Third Grade and as a Reading Specialist in a federally funded reading program. She has also done private child care in Belmont and was a Girl Scout Leader for five years. Miss Nancy enjoys hiking and traveling with her husband and three daughters, walking her dog and horseback riding.
Miss Molly
Classroom Aide
Molly has been working with children for over 15 years. After completing her Bachelor’s degree in art and theater at Clark University, she nannied for a Plymouth family before joining the staff in 2014. In addition to her work at PNS, Molly is a freelance stage manager and theater educator.
Miss Dawn
Classroom Aide
Miss Dawn has been part of the Plymouth Nursery School family for over 25 years. She began as a board member and then as a parent helper for 9 years, as each of her 4 children attended, and has been on the substitute teacher list ever since. With great joy and enthusiasm she is now a classroom aide.
In her free time, Miss Dawn enjoys spending time with her husband and adult children art and creative projects, cooking, yoga, and walking with her dogs.
Linda Tilden
Director of Admissions and Assistant Teacher
Linda has worked with children for over 30 years. She has a Bachelor of Arts degree from Boston College in Elementary Education with a Reading Concentration. She was a camp counselor and taught Beginners (3 and 4 year olds) and First Grade at The Chestnut Hill School in Chestnut Hill, MA. She also worked in Admissions at that school, as well as at Nashoba Brooks Day School in Concord, MA. For over 20 years Linda has been the Director of Admissions at PNS and just recently returned to the classroom as an assistant teacher two mornings a week, mostly in the older classroom. She has worked in real estate, retail, and property management and has even taught figure skating! Linda enjoys travel, playing tennis but watching all sports, and the beach, as well as cooking for her husband and two daughters.
